Reading Frankford Branch (Abandoned) and clearly disappeared. It is safe to assume this is a historical object which does not exist in its entirety even as an abandoned object.

1951? Did it take four years to build the thing or something? Because I read that it had opened in 1955.

oops. Sorry. I misread the link I referred to above. Link was about 4 of the eagle statues FROM NYC's Penn Station demolition to Philadelphia's Market St. bridge - which coincidentally ends right AT the Philly train station. Link was not directly ABOUT Philly's station at all. My mistake!

Wikimapia just told me the distance from me (here in Philly) to "Pennsylvania Station" is around 96 meters. However, I am about 3 blocks from Philadelphia's 30th Street Station — which is NOT called "Pennsylvania Station"!!

One can travel during the day by bicycle or on foot, then stay overnight at a hostel. It is a delightful way to travel.

  • Playland and Boulevard Pools, Mitchguest (guest) wrote 13 years ago:
I was supposed to go back there and squish Mureen and Nancy on the Tilt-A-Whirl, and crash them on the bump cars. I hope you rebuild that park, because I'm getting tired waiting. And they taught they'd get me at the tunnel....ha,ha.
