This is the current site of the former US Army Frankford Arsenal, so the citation should say "Site of the former..." rather than "Former site of ...". Sorry, but my literature professor in engineering school really made an impression on me (Prof. Herman Estrin)!

Attended Carnell from 1951 to 1957. Lived right across the street at corner of Frontenac and Benner. There was a baseball diamond where the additional buildings are now.

Former location of Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's Philadelphia Passenger Station aka 24th Street Station. B&O's Passenger service ended here in 1958, building demolished some years later. Tracks are still there and used by CSX Transportation for freight. Many railbuffs are taking pictures of 30th Street Station from here but do not know where they are really standing.

Yes, I love Franklin Field. A unique beautiful old venue with charm. Seen many Quakers games here plus a couple of Penn Relays AND a U2 concert!
